About Take 5 Brass
The “Take 5 Brass” Quintet is the newest addition to the Mon Valley Academy for the Arts’ vibrant lineup of musical ensembles. This brass quintet, under the skilled direction of Ken Coffman, brings together five talented musicians: Sam Vollstedt, Ethan Rumbaugh, Korbin Andrews, Lucas Salaway, and Evan Lee. Together, they create a dynamic and powerful sound that highlights the versatility and richness of brass instruments. Their performances promise to deliver both classical brass repertoire and modern arrangements, catering to a wide range of musical tastes.
With their upcoming debut performances, “Take 5 Brass” will significantly impact the local music scene. The quintet will appear alongside the Sam Bill Legacy Band at various venues, including the Hiller Fire Hall on September 8 and a special Veterans Day performance at the Brownsville Sons of Italy on November 11. These appearances mark the beginning of what is sure to be a successful journey for the group as they continue to bring their unique sound to audiences across the region.
