Mon Valley Academy for the Arts (MVAA) will once again be taking part in the Washington County Community Foundation’s (WCCF) annual Day of Giving on Wednesday, September 18, 2025. This special day is an opportunity for our community to come together in support of local nonprofit organizations that make a lasting difference in Washington County and beyond.

What is the Day of Giving?

The WCCF Day of Giving is an annual online fundraising event that celebrates and supports nonprofit organizations throughout the region. For 24 hours, donors can visit the WCCF’s secure online giving platform to contribute to their favorite charities. Participating nonprofits benefit from increased visibility, pooled community support, and, in some cases, matching funds or bonuses that amplify the impact of each gift.

How Your Gift Helps MVAA

This year, all donations received by MVAA through the WCCF Day of Giving will be directed to our award-winning EARS Program (Empower a Rising Star). The EARS Program offers scholarships to students studying music with our professional instructors, ensuring that young people in our community have access to high-quality, affordable arts education, regardless of their financial needs. Each scholarship covers a series of lessons, giving students the tools, confidence, and mentorship they need to grow as musicians and community leaders.
