The first opportunity is the Sam Bill Legacy Band. If you have ever been part of a band and miss the camaraderie, the thrill of performing, and the joy of making music together, this is the perfect chance for you. Our Sam Bill Legacy Band is a concert ensemble that embraces community involvement and welcomes anyone with a musical background. Whether you played in high school, college, or even in your spare time, dust off those instruments from your cupboards and join us in honoring the unforgettable impact of Sam Bill. Together, we’ll create memorable performances and enjoy the socialization and fun of being part of a local band.

The Sam Bill Legacy Band rehearses weekly on Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. at the Peter J. Daley Cultural Center (MVAA South) at 119 Brownsville Ave. in Brownsville.

Our second project, still in the works, is establishing the Mon Valley Marching Unit. This exciting initiative invites adults to rehearse and perform at selected events, including parades and special occasions, both locally and in nearby communities. Our goal is to bring back a marching band’s electrifying energy, playing traditional and popular songs. We’ll be performing with the original Sam Bill marching band arrangements, keeping the spirit of this legendary figure alive. If you have a passion for marching band music, relish the experience of marching in step, and love to entertain crowds with powerful performances, the Mon Valley Marching Unit is the perfect opportunity for you to shine.
