MVAA Receives Gift from the J. Barry Stout Charitable Fund

Mon Valley Academy for the Arts is pleased to acknowledge and thank the Washington County Community Foundation for a recent gift from the J. Barry Stout Charitable Fund, made in honor of Lenore T. Stout.

This generous contribution will support MVAA’s Empower a Rising Star (EARS) program, which helps provide access to music education opportunities for young people throughout our region. Through EARS, students who might otherwise be unable to access private music instruction have the opportunity to develop their talents, build confidence, and discover the lifelong benefits of arts education.

Support like this helps ensure that financial circumstances do not become a barrier to participation in the arts. Gifts to EARS allow MVAA to continue providing high-quality instruction and meaningful artistic experiences to students and families across the Mon Valley and beyond.

“We are grateful to the Washington County Community Foundation and the Stout family for their generosity and their belief in the power of the arts to change lives,” said MVAA President Annette Buffer. “Every gift helps us reach more students, strengthen our programs, and create opportunities that may not otherwise exist. We sincerely thank them for helping us carry our mission forward.”

Mon Valley Academy for the Arts is fortunate to have the support of community-minded individuals, families, and foundations that recognize the importance of arts education. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Washington County Community Foundation and the J. Barry Stout Charitable Fund for investing in the future of our students and our communities.
