Mon Valley Academy for the Arts is inviting talented young vocalists ages 12 through 22 to audition for an exciting new youth show choir ensemble. This dynamic performance group will provide singers with opportunities to develop their vocal skills, build confidence, perform for audiences, and become part of a supportive artistic community.

Auditions will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2026, beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. at the Peter J. Daley Cultural Center, located at 119 Brownsville Avenue in Brownsville.

Prospective members should prepare a vocal selection that best demonstrates their range, talent, and personality. Participants must provide their own playback device with accompaniment tracks loaded and ready for use, as live accompaniment will not be available. Each audition will be scheduled in a 10-minute time slot.

Singers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian upon arrival to complete required permission paperwork.

Audition results will be announced on Monday, June 23. Selected performers will receive a direct phone call with additional information regarding rehearsals and upcoming performances.

“Music has the power to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships,” said Annette Buffer, President of Mon Valley Academy for the Arts. “We encourage young singers from throughout the region to audition and discover what is possible when they share their voices with others.”

Audition appointments are strongly encouraged, as available slots are limited. Walk-in auditions will be accepted only if time permits.
